Having spent most of my early life around horses; enjoying the great outdoors and being at one with animals – adjusting to my early career in an office just never seemed to feel right. During a career break to raise my 2 girls; we came across a rather broken little black terrier who had had a bad start in life. There was no decision to be made and he very quickly became a part of our family; where we set about providing him with the love and security he desperately needed. This little terrier is Pippin and was the true inspiration behind Woodland Pet Services. This little rescue dog reignited my passion for working with animals and I have dedicated all of my work efforts since to studying animal behaviour in order that I can support others in the betterment and enrichment of our four-legged friends lives.
I believe that our training and enrichment journey never ends, we are always seeking new ways to build our relationship and increase our bond with our animals and as such I am always looking for new ways to help keep our friends enriched, whatever their age – from puppy training and socialisation, dog training and behaviour, to enrichment activities including scent-work, trick training and proprioception.
Our love of animals really does start at home and has been a lifelong passion. To share this love with you, I have included just a glimpse of some of the things we get up to behind the scenes below.
