The Canine Hub are a fun, friendly and professional dog training company located in Lovell Road, Oakley Bedford, Bedfordshire,  MK43 7RZ, offering you and your canine best friend, a variety of quality puppy, dog training, scentwork classes, Hoopers and agility classes, where handler and dog can learn in a force free, positive reward based training environment.

We have a “games based” approach to learning. Playing short, three minute, fun games, will help your Canine buddy make the right choices. The more you reward the right choices, the more instinctive and natural those choices become. You will also build an awesome bond between you and your canine best friend as you learn together, meeting other like minded people.

We can offer you and your dog a range of one to one services and group classes at our field in Oakley, as well as a wide variety of online home learning courses, with full facebook support groups.

All about me

Hi, my name is Kate Lamacraft and I have a owned and trained my dogs for 25 years. I have passed my practical IABTC instructing pet dog owners course with a distinction and theory with merit, and I have passed my  Agility 1st Trainer qualification, accredited by Agility 1st. Both these dog training companies are preferred Kennel Club educational providers. I have continued to develop my dog training skills and in March 2018 passed my Pro Dog Trainer course, followed in March 2020 by Pro dog Geek course. I am also a UK Scentwork qualified trainer, UK Sniffer Dogs Instructor(Silver Level) and have passed The School of Canine Science Scent 4 Six course. I also hold a canine first aid qualification and human 1st aid certificate.

I am a fully qualified teacher of 29 years and I taught PE and Computing in a middle school in Central Bedfordshire. I left the teaching profession in 2020 to follow my passion and become a full time dog trainer.

I own three rescue dogs, Roxy, Gem and Skip. We sadly lost our old boy Alfie in January 2020. Alfie was a collie x husky, Roxy is a collie x golden retriever, Gem is also a collie X and Skip is a Working Cocker Spaniel. I compete with both Roxy (Grade 6) and Gem ( Grade 5) in Agility competitions. Alfie made it to Grade 4. Skip is just starting out on his agility adventure.

The Canine Hub has been a dream for many years, to provide a dog training center, where handler and dog can learn in a force free, positive reward based training environment. Building a bond between you and your canine best friend as you learn together, meeting other like minded people.
