Worcester Dogs started in 2007 and has since evolved to where we are now offering a huge range of dog and cat services for you from dog walking, puppy visits, home dog visits to puppy classes and lots of fun sports too . If you have a dog in Worcester then we are the team to get to know.
At Worcester Dogs we offer all things dog. And let’s not forget cats too!
Worcester Dogs has its home base in Kempsey and has worked with Dogs Trust, Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and all of the Veterinary Practices across Worcester, American Kennel Club, UK Kennel Club, Bristol University and local colleges. We have consulted with many clients and taught workshops and seminars in the UK and Ireland.

OUR TRAINING METHODS
Our training and operating principles are based on positively rewarding the behaviours you like so that they are more likely to do them again!
We work with you showing you how a kind and informed approach using the latest and up-to-date canine learning ensures you understand your dog’s canine communciation.
Positive reinforcement increases faster learning, but most importantly makes it fun for you both!
We only use kind, force-free methods that are based on sound proven scientific principles. Positive reinforcement is a modern science-based approach to dog training that uses the principles of science to build that lasting bond with your dog. Your bond with your dog should be built on mutual respect and trust. It is a partnership that is two way and you and your dog will create a relationship that gets the best from each other.
Using positive dog training methods does not mean ‘permissive’. We simply use methods that teach your dog ‘what to do instead’ in a kind and effective way. There is no need to use hurt or bully a dog to behave as teaching them should be fun and rewarding for both of you. Wanting the best for your dog can be achieved using positive reinforcement and assistance dogs, medical detection dogs, conservation detection dogs and rescue dogs are all trained using these scientific based principles. This method works for all dogs and all animals too from birds to big cats!

We also believe that it is simply not good enough to ‘call yourself’ a dog trainer or a behaviourist. We pride ourselves in offering services that are supported by professional credentials that mean we offer the most up to date learning about dogs, excellent customer service, and are highly skilled in what we offer but most of all are friendly and approachable.
About Our Services
Puppy Classes
We offer a six week training course for either puppies and then afterwards for adolescent dogs.
Puppies need the best start in life, where they can learn in small groups and shine as they master their basic tasks.
As your dog enters the teenage phase it can seem like they’ve completely forgotten everything they once knew! Focussed classes will reinforce basic obedience in a positive and kind way.
Masterclasses for Everyone
We specialise in offering expert tuition in areas of your training where your dog may need some extra help. Our dog training Masterclasses in Worcester provide you with the opportunity to focus on these areas in small class sizes with individual attention from the trainers who have extensive knowledge of these issues.
Choose from Reliable Recall Masterclass, Loose Lead Walking Masterclass, Chase Recall Masterclass (2 parts) and Super Spaniel Masterclass.
Good Citizen KC Training
The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme is the largest accredited dog training programme in the UK and has been in operation since 1992.
The Scheme is open to all dogs, young or old, pedigree or Crossbreed, whether Kennel Club registered or not. It provides a quality standard of training for dogs and owners, and incorporates many domestic obedience exercises, Dog owners of any fitness level or disability can take part too. The Scheme is non-competitive and emphasis is placed on the standard of achievement. There are four levels of courses from Puppy Foundation, to Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award.
1 : 1 Puppy and Dog Training
Training in your own home – where it really matters. Worcester Dogs offer a personalised service to fit in with your family and valuable time for both Puppies and Adolescent Dogs!
We focus only on you and your dog’s needs to tackle head on the issues that matter, such as biting the kids, chewing, house training and pulling on a lead. Prevent Behavioural problems so you never have to face the stress, damage and heartache this can bring with flexible hours and training times to suit you.

These packages are bespoke to you and tailored so as you get the best training solutions to meet your dog’s needs. Whether you have a puppy or an adolescent dog we are there for you!
Gun Dog Training
Gun Dog Training harnesses your dog’s natural ability to use its nose and practice some core obedience tasks which are important in every dog’s life. The mental stimulation of training and utilising your dog’s brain, keeps your dog fit and healthy. Sue Millward, a highly skilled and experienced Gun Dog trainer, offers you the opportunity to do something new and different with your dogs even if you choose not go forward in Gun Dog Field Trials.
Dogs participating in the Taster sessions and our new classes need a reasonable level of competence in: sit, stay, come, loose lead and leave it BUT all of these will be worked on in the Taster sessions.
