Alicia's House of Paws Drop Off/Pick Up Area

Be the first to review

Building on a relationship of trust between ourselves and your dog, we can help them develop their confidence when interacting with other dogs or people, traveling in a vehicle and visiting new places.

Is your dog easily spooked? Panics when they come nose-to-nose with another dog? Barks at new people?

Maybe you can’t get any focus from them when you are at the park because they are so overwhelmed by everything going on?

We can help you and your dog learn to enjoy your walks together, learn how to say hi to another dog calmly and how to be less stressed by new people.

We use science-based positive reinforcement training methods and games to encourage appropriate behaviours while minimising the occurrence of unwanted behaviours. We also emphasise the need for patience, to understand what your dog’s body language is trying to tell you, when to reassure your dog and how, and when your dog is ready to take another step towards confidence.

Crucially, we support the development and maintenance of well-rounded, confident and comfortable dogs on our walks, in our training classes and at our play centre. That way, all adults involved in your dog’s care are providing the right support at the right time and we’re all on the same page.

Small Group Dog Walks

Free Meet & Greet

Alicia will make a visit to your home to meet yourself and your dog(s).

We will go over the details of their care such as food allergies, previous training, any worries or fears, and make sure that everyone is happy before collecting a set of keys (if needed) and book our first walk!

The Main Event

Our walks last 60 minutes and include:

  • Safe transport to and from home to the walking location

  • All treats and poo bags included

  • Fresh water before and after the walk

  • Training during the walk such as recall, loose-lead walking and good doggy social skills.

  • Positive reinforcement ONLY trainers

Timings

Including pick up and drop offs, walks are scheduled between:

  • Morning walks between 8.30am and 11am

  • Lunch time walks between 11.15am and 1.45pm

  • Afternoon walks between 2pm and 4.30pm.

What Do We Charge?

£20 for a group walk for a single dog.

Some dogs may need a gentler introduction to group walks, due to timidness of other dogs or people, we can help these dogs settle in and get the most from their walks!

Discounts apply for multiple dogs from the same home.
