Kuruba Kennels & Cattery

Be the first to review

Kuruba Dog Kennels Stirling

Our kennels are located within the gardens and grounds of our family home, so we try and create a laidback holiday vibe where possible to all of our guests. The majority of our guests are regulars who get as excited to see us as we are to see them! We find this makes a big difference for most new dogs when they arrive as it helps them to settle in quicker if the atmosphere in general is trusting and relaxed.

That said, we are the first to admit that a kennel environment is not always suitable for every dog. If they are very elderly, have poor health, severe separation anxiety or are aggressive or destructive at home, then for their own well-being, our kennels is not the right place for them.

We can’t guarantee in advance that your dog will be well suited and happy to stay in our kennels as they are all unique personalities. However, we will always do our best to find out what helps them relax and feel secure whether its playing fetch, longer time spent sniffing the trail or just chilling out in the garden with one of us!

Kuruba Cattery Stirling

Our cattery is located within the garden of our family home on the opposite side of our house from the kennels. As with our kennels, we try and create a laidback holiday vibe where possible for all of our guests to enjoy.

That said, we are the first to admit that a cattery environment is not always suitable for every cat. If they are very elderly or have poor health then for their own well-being, our cattery is not the right place for them.

We will always do our best to help them feel secure with music playing in the cattery and giving them treats and plenty of affection on their own terms of course!

What we provide

Each cat unit has different levels and ramps between them so that your cat can be as active or laidback as they feel like. We provide vet bedding, litter trays and litter as well as water and food bowls. You are welcome to bring your cats own special food/treats and their own comfy bed and favourite toys if you like. Alternatively, we do have complimentary Breederpack cat biscuits and Whiskas wet food.

Up to date Vaccination Certificate

All cats must be up to date with their annual vaccinations. There are three vaccinations required for cats boarding in a cattery – cat flu, feline enteritis, and feline leukemia. This is non-negotiable for catteries since it is a requirement of boarding licenses in the UK.

If your cat hasn’t had their vaccinations before or they are overdue you will be required to get two boosters 3 weeks apart and then it will take one more week before they are able to stay at our cattery. If you are unsure of your cat’s current vaccination status, please contact your vet to find out more.

You must bring your cat’s up-to-date vaccination certificate with you along with a signed and completed Kuruba registration form which you can download and print out below.

Medication

If your cat has any health conditions/medication, you must let us know before booking in. We are happy to give your pet their medications, within reason, so long as you discuss with us prior to booking what health conditions they are for and what is involved. All meds must come in the original packaging with clear instructions.
