Welcome to Polly’s Pet Care! We offer dog walking, dog training, day and holiday pet sitting, transition planning for a new dog, puppies and rescue dogs and pet care services for all animals.  

 In Kent we offer services within an approximate 5 mile radius of Chislehurst including Petts Wood, Sidcup and Bromley. 

We are a dedicated team of trained animal carers who are 100% committed to the care and well being of your animals. When walking dogs, a maximum of 4 dogs are walked together to safeguard the animals emotional health. They are grouped by their temperament, age and fitness, and not by location, to ensure maximum mental and physical well-being.

We keep in close communication with our clients. We take photos of your pet, we let you know when they are feeling unwell or even behaving slightly differently than usual. We ensure animals are well settled in at home and cared for before we leave. 

We appreciate you have a lot of questions before letting us look after your beloved pets. We are very happy to answer all your queries no matter how trivial they might sound. The smallest details are often key to the happiness of your pet. We will visit you and your pets at home to find out exactly what you need before we start the chosen service.  We are fully insured by Pet Business Insurance.

Dog walking

Choose either a 30 minute or a one-hour dog walk by one of our experienced team members. The duration of the walk is the duration of the actual walk and not door to door. You may prefer a solo dog walk or for your dog to be walked with others; this can be discussed with us when we meet and get to know your dog. We never walk more than more than 4 dogs at a time. We only walk ‘off-lead’ with your consent. If your dog is anxious, tends to be over excited or perhaps challenging we may suggest a one to one walk.  We are flexible, we can schedule walks in the mornings or afternoons, 7 days a week.

When grouping dogs, careful consideration is taken to match their temperament, any health issues and size. We walk the dogs in a variety of locations as its important to keep the walk interesting and rewarding. Every walk consists of suitable play according to breed and age, obedience training and plenty of cuddles.

We post photos of your dog on our Facebook page. We don’t mention your beloved dog by name for safety reasons and to prevent them from being called away by someone else. If your dog is out of sorts, or if we feel that something is wrong with either your dog or your home, we will call your straight away.

Transport for the dogs to and from their walk is provided in our cars using car guards and harnesses in accordance with rule 57 of the Highway Code.

Upon returning home, dogs are cleaned and dried off. We ensure your dog has fresh water and settle them back into home with a cuddle and a treat. In the winter months as the nights draw in, with your permission, we turn the lights on and close the curtains so that the dogs are not in the dark.

Pet Sitting

Polly’s Pet Sitting services extend to any pet of any size or shape! Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, chickens, ducks, fish, tortoises and snakes – all creatures great and small will receive the same, first class treatment.

Having us care for your pet at home rather than sending the pet to a boarding facility reduces stress for them in terms of transport and change of location. It also adds that extra element of security to the home. We can collect mail, open and close the curtains, turn lights on/off and anything else that is needed.

During the visits we feed, clean any litter trays or hutches/cages, play, have cuddles and groom. We can also administer any medication if needed.

We offer 30 min pet sitting visits, these can either be once a day or twice a day depending on your wishes.
