The team at Sunnymead are dedicated to making your pets stay a happy experience. The enthusiastic team are kind, understanding and skilled with over 30 years of collective experience in caring for animals.

The kennels are licensed by the local authority and have regular statutory inspections. Both the kennels and cattery are supervised 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We understand how hard it is to leave your loved one for the first time. Therefore, we recommend you pop over to see us first, so we can have a chat about what we do and get a better understanding of your pet and the best possible care we can give him or her.

Our guests are not just animals; they become our pets during their stay and, in time, our friends.

If your pet has any special dietary requirements we are happy to accommodate them.

We cater for each cat’s individual diet where possible, thereby preventing possible tummy upsets and alleviating stress that can accompany a change of diet and environment. All boarding cats should have up to date vaccination certificates including Leukaemia & Cat Flu.

A full clean each morning with Trigene disinfectant of the cat pens insures the pens are clean and germ free. A complete deep clean is carried out between boarders to maintain a high standard of hygiene.

We provide everything your cat will need during the stay. Beds, Bedding, Toys. We also have a vet on 24-hour standby all year and we are happy to administer medications. If you feel your cat would prefer your own bedding, feel free to bring it along although all belongings left on the premises are left entirely at the client’s risk. Any bedding, beds, toys, must be in a clean and parasite free condition.

Any belongings becoming soiled during the boarding period will be destroyed.

The cattery is set in the grounds. Each pen has its own outside exercise area with a branch for a scratching post, and the sleeping accommodation is heated and insulated to ensure a nice cosy cat.

We recommend all new customers come up for a viewing within our business hours prior to to your pets first stay.

The kennels are set in the grounds with plenty of play areas, we walk the dogs 3 times a day & offer 3 meals a day. Snuggles and love are unlimited

VACCINATIONS

All dogs must have a full and up to date vaccination record to be shown on first visit and details of their registered vet. All dogs must be fully inoculated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Paravirus, Para Influenza, and Leptospirosis and must have had a booster injection within the previous 12 months.

Canine Infectious Bronchitis (Kennel Cough)

We like all our customers to have had their dog inoculated against canine infectious bronchitis. We suggest you discuss this matter with your veterinary surgeon as this is causea by complex virus/bacteria only some of which respond to vaccination.

This inoculation must be done at least two weeks prior to arriving at the kennels.
