Belbroughton Location: Located just four minutes away from junction 4 of the M5, our Belbroughton site is your go-to destination for various services, including:

Background

Welcome to Beacon Barkers, a kennel experience unlike any other! Founded just before the lockdown by Carrena Burness, our mission was to support frontline hero key workers during a time of uncertainty. Carrena went above and beyond to assist numerous customers, including Paramedics, Vets, Doctors, Shop, and council workers, ensuring their beloved pets received exceptional care while they selflessly served the community.

At Beacon Barkers, we’re not just a kennel facility. We are a family-owned establishment nestled in the heart of North Worcestershire, where Caz and Darron have resided for the past 16 years with their two wonderful children, Max (16) and Henry (12). We’ve recently made our home on-site at the kennels to provide round-the-clock care and ensure the safety and well-being of your furry companions.

Speaking of companions, we share our lives with Macie and Arthur, our beloved Cockapoos. Macie, a loving 4-year-old, and Arthur, a naughty energetic 2-year-old, are always excited to make new friends. You’ll often find them perched on the window sill, looking like bookends, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next guests and will greet them with a loud bark.

As you pull into the car park, you may catch a glimpse of Macie and Arthur perched on the window sill, their tails wagging enthusiastically and their eyes sparkling with anticipation. They are our official greeters, providing a warm and boisterous woof to announce the arrival of our cherished guests.

Our family has grown even more with the addition of Ducks, Chickens, Koi Fish, and Rabbits. We love expanding our animal family, and who knows what delightful creatures will join us next!

Rest assured, at Beacon Barkers, your pets are in capable hands. Caz is a qualified pet first aider and holds a diploma in Pet sitting/Dog Walking. We are fully insured to provide a range of services, including kennel boarding, dog walking, grooming, home boarding, and pet transport. Additionally, we have undergone full DBS security checks, adhering to the highest standards set forth by the National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers Code of Conduct.

Dog Walking & Home Visits

Here at Beacon Barkers, we offer Dog Walking in and around South Birmingham, North Worcestershire. Covering specifically, Rubery, Frankley, Longbridge, Hagley, Belbroughton, Fairfield, Romsley and surrounding areas.
We currently have availability and are happy to take on new customers.

Sundays and Bank Holidays

9-00 TILL 11-30am only. We are closed in the afternoon

We encourage you to view our superb facilities, however, request you contact us or book online HERE to arrange an appointment 7 days a week between 12.30 & 2.30, this is the best time to minimise disturbing the borders, and so we can plan the staffing to assist with your viewing.

Prices Including Exercise

One dog £20 
2nd and 3rd dogs (if sharing) are half price
2 dogs sharing = £30

3 dogs sharing = £40

Our prices include food, bed and bedding, heating when needed, and a 20min exercise session in the paddock.

We offer three additional exercise sessions if you feel your dog would benefit from this. (Please note this offer is per kennel not per dog)
Firstly Double Exercise: The one included in your boarding price along with one additional 20 minute in the paddock – £5 (normally first thing in the morning)
Secondly Double Double Exercise: The two listed above along with a third for an additional £7 (so three sessions of 20 minutes per day).

NEW SERVICE: Why not choose a 30min 1 on 1 walk around our brilliant 16 acre site for an additional £9 per session.  This unique service will be available subject to availability and conditions, but can be booked online as part of your booking.

No charge for collection day if collected before 11-30am*

*(This DISCOUNT is only offered ON THE 4TH DAY ONWARDS – we cannot offer this discount on short bookings)

We are happy to take debit cards
(Unfortunately, we do not take cheques, Amex, or credit cards).

We DO NOT charge extra for administering tablets but may charge for intensive care of your pet.

We charge by the day, so you pay for each day your dog has use of the kennel.

All Bank Holidays are charged at half fee supplement.
Christmas & New Year’s Day are charged at a double fee.

We have two experienced and qualified groomers called Karen and Kaylee who are very patient and caring with the dogs. We have plenty of space to let them run if they become at all stressed and they don’t have to stay in the grooming room if they are not good with other dogs.
We can tailor make your grooming experience to fit your dog’s needs.
The groomer will always ask exactly how you want your dog to look and will follow your instructions (download our Grooming contract below) – if for any reason you are not entirely happy we will be happy to put it right for you.

We can groom boarding dogs and also accept dogs for grooming only.
If your dog is a guest at the Kennels you will be entitled to a further 10% discount on grooms whilst boarding with us.

Grooming Team:

Kaylee is our new groomer here at Beacon Barkers.  She is first aid and behaviour trained and has been grooming dogs for over four years.
Since starting off as an apprentice at 19, her love for dogs and passion for grooming and making each visit personal makes every dog’s experience

Karen has been grooming here at Beacon Barkers for over fifteen years. A very experienced Groomer, who has the patience to groom even the most difficult dogs.
