PREMIER DOGGY DAYCARE AND PUPPY SOCIALISATION

Family-run daycare, providing structured activities, training, full access to our one acre plot all day, every day and cosy, indoor spaces for  breaks on colder days! It really is at dog’s life at TMAMD.

BECOME A TEACHER’S PET

Place your dog in the only local daycare operated by two, fully-qualified dog trainers, who will ensure that your dog learns good manners around other dogs through carefully supervised and managed interactions.

We’re a fully licensed 5 star provision.

Open from 7.30am – 6pm Mon – Fri (extended hours at a small extra cost). 

Our Teacher’s Pet Daily Crews are organised to ensure that your dog is carefully matched with other dogs that they will get on with and form lasting friendships with; all dogs need a bestie! 

Our dogs are assigned to their Crews based solely on their temperament and suitability for that group. If they are unsuitable for an upcoming vacancy, then they will not be assigned that place as our Crew’s welfare and happiness is more important to us than simply filling places. 

Our crews are small; some are lively, outgoing and highly playful, others quiet, sensitive souls who are learning to enjoy and feel totally comfortable around other dogs.  Whatever your dog needs, we’ll try to find the right crew for them!

They will be introduced carefully to other dogs, supervised fully at all times and snuggled to within an inch of their lives, on every, single visit.

Our numbers are strictly limited and places coveted by our owners so places tend not to become available too often. Owners book their dogs into regular, weekly slots, a month in advance and provide us with a month’s notice, if they intend to relinquish their slot. Please give us a call today to enquire about future vacancies or to be placed on our waiting list.

Drop off times are organised carefully to ensure that only 1 dog is dropped off at a time but collection times can be organised to suit you and your day.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer regular daycare places to entire males apart from pups, for puppy socialisation sessions or for young entire males who’ve trained with us, whom we know very well.

PUPPY SOCIALISATION DAYCARE

You could also take  advantage of our popular, puppy socialisation sessions in daycare. Nervous pups will grow in confidence and more confident pupsters will learn great dog-etiquette, from groups of mixed-breed, puppy-tolerant adults.

Steve and I are both trainers for Puppy School so you really can’t leave your precious pup in better hands than ours!

Pups are generally offered 3 sessions at a total cost of £75 and  their sessions can begin once they are fully vaccinated, up to 6 months of age.

There is usually a waiting list for this provision so please get in touch early if you’d like to ensure that your new pup has the best socialisation experiences possible.

Our small, family-run luxury daycare, located just a minute from the A41 at Tern Hill, really is a doggy daycare paradise. We have a full one acre, fully secured, site for our dogs to explore, including a large indoor play barn and indoor doggy room for rainy days and, four huge artificially-turfed play areas so no muddy paws and, as qualified dog trainers, you can rest assured that your dog’s needs will be very well-catered for. 

Run by myself and my husband, the majority of your dog’s day is spent outside, where they are free to run and play to their hearts content.

We have different sections outdoors so that our dogs can be separated into groups on the basis of size or temperament and we include a range of ever-changing enrichment activities in our structured, doggy daycare schedule including scentwork games, freework, trick training and agility.

Socialising young pups is our absolute speciality, especially important for creating a happy, balanced adult dog.  As qualified puppy trainers, with the leading national provider of puppy training in the UK, Puppy School, your pup will be in safe hands to build their confidence and learn the art of playing and communicating with other dogs.  They will learn to be happy and comfortable around dogs of all sizes and energy levels ensuring that they grow into sociable adult dogs. In the current climate, with COVID running rampant, it has never been more important to find safe environments for your pup to develop those all-important doggy social skills and we can certainly help your pup to do that. 

While dogs here play hard, they also learn to settle and train around other dogs. Great emphasis is placed on teaching each of our daycare dogs the importance of listening to us, through massive engagement with Steve and I. They also learn to play appropriately as inappropriate play is consistently interrupted by ourselves and our own dogs, meaning that your dog/pup learns how to interact politely with other dogs.

Owners can also purchase a training package, to be delivered at their dog’s daycare session, with a handover teaching session for owners, upon collection, so that you can practise at home before their next session.

TEACHER’S PET DAYCARE TRAINING PACKAGES

For a small extra cost, your dog can receive 30 minutes of training, during their daycare session to reinforce any training that’s become inconsistent or to develop new skills and cues.

Owners can choose from;

• Recall training from distractions
• Stay, with distractions
• Heelwork Training
• Developing a solid Leave or Drop/Give Cue
• Emergency Stops
• Calm, focused activities – learning to wait 
• Agility Training
• Developing a Retrieve
• Place Cue (in your bed)
• Settle

Owners will receive a 15 minute 1:1 session, when they collect their dog to go through the techniques to enable them to continue their practise at home, until their next daycare session. It’s like having your own bespoke training course with us providing the initial boost and you can book as many or as few training sessions as you feel will be useful.

Regular daycare with training £32.50 per session

Welcome to Train Me and My Dog’s Premier Home Boarding Page, established in 2019. We are fully insured and licensed by Shropshire Council to provide luxury home boarding and have achieved a 5 star rating. Whether you’re away for just one night or an extended holiday, we will happily welcome your dog into our home, giving you peace of mind that, while you’re away, your dog is being loved and cared for to the highest possible standard and enjoying their own little adventure with us.

My husband, Steve & I are both professional, full-time dog trainers, qualified with Puppy School,  and we teach a variety of dog and puppy training classes in Market Drayton. We are also both fully qualified Dog First Aiders and I’m a Raw Advisor for Natures Menu, an approved trainer with The Dog Training Council and the ABTC.

We have both had a massive love of dogs for our whole lives and decided to ‘take the plunge’ to launch Train Me and My Dog, as full-time careers, in January 2019, after delivering dog training on a part-time basis for Puppy School, for a number of years. 

We re-located to Market Drayton and launched our dog and puppy training classes, operating in Market Drayton and our Home Boarding & Daycare was launched in April 19. 

We specialise in providing truly social boarding for dogs who enjoy the company of other dogs.  We have a one acre plot for your dog to play in, a sandpit, tunnels, 3 dogs of our own for them to play with, superb local walks for exploration and ‘sniffy times’ and lots of other doggy friends for them to meet in our daycare, which operates Monday – Fridays. Your dog will have an absolute blast, enjoying their own little Adventure Holiday with us, while you’re away enjoying yours!

Owners are most welcome to visit us in our home, by prior arrangement, to view our facilities and meet with us. Please telephone to arrange a completely no-obligation visit.

DOG AGILITY TRAINING

Launched in March 2021, individual dog agility lessons for dogs over the age of 12 months, based here in Market Drayton. Book a full course, organised into 6 x 30 mins sessions on Saturday morning or Tuesday evenings OR a one-off taster session or series of taster sessions. The lessons are designed to allow you and your dog to begin to learn the fundamentals of agility and gain confidence in using our top of the range agility equipment, without the pressure of other dogs or owners, allowing each pair to learn at their own pace, initially.

A 6 week course costs £90. Taster Lessons cost £15.

PUPPY TRAINING CLASSES IN MARKET DRAYTON

WELCOME & CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW ADDITION!

Here at TMAMD, we offer Puppy School Classes to help you to give your puppy the very best possible start in life! We train around a 100 puppies per year so have a wealth of experience and expertise. Our 6 week puppy training and socialisation courses are fun, innovative and totally force-free and are available for fully-vaccinated pups aged between 11 – 20 weeks, at the start of their course.  With only 4 pups per course, owners can be assured of a wealth of individual guidance and support. You will be actively involved in working with your own puppy throughout each lesson ensuring that you not only have fun, but fully maximise your learning time.  This course will develop your pup’s basic training and  improve your ability to communicate effectively with them.

Our course is also progressive, so you and your puppy will learn new skills every week and you’ll receive a full-colour training manual so you can practise between lessons.

In our Puppy Training Course, you’ll be taught, through clear demonstrations with the pups in class, all the skills needed to develop a solid training foundation including;

•  sit, 
• down, 
• stay,

• gentle, leave
• settle, 
• coming when called
• loose lead walking, teaching your pup to walk to heal
• anti-pull methods
•  opportunities to develop effective handling techniques that will help your puppy cope with vet and grooming visits
• toy play, which will reduce play-biting  and help you to create an unbreakable bond with your puppy
• teaching your pup to greet people without jumping up 
• your pup will even learn a trick or two that you can wow your friends and family with!

You’ll also receive a certificate and rosette on completion of the course.

• You’ll also receive our Puppy Guidance Pack with 15 information sheets to ensure that you have all the information necessary to get your pup off to a flying start.
• Courses run every few weeks in Tern Hill, Market Drayton on Sundays. Courses are £90 for a 6 week course.

We also offer a range of excellent follow-on courses and workshops to continue your pup’s training beyond the initial puppy training level.

OTHER GREAT OFFERINGS TO SUPPORT YOUR PUPPY 

1:1 IN PERSON TRAINING with you and your puppy. You’ll complete your course here in person with Maria or Steve and a couple of our own dogs can even be training alongside your pup so that they have the chance for socialisation experience in a safe environment.

4 sessions cost £200.

TRAIN & BOARD

Board your pup with us and we’ll will begin their training with them. They will also benefit from great socialisation with our dogs, boarders and daycare dogs in a safe environment. A 1:1 training session is included in the price, in which you’ll be taught the techniques needed to continue their training at home. This programme costs £300 per week. I would advise a minimum of a 2 week training programme to achieve the best results but please contact me to discuss your needs further.

PUPPY DAYCARE

Book your pup in for a Socialisation Daycare Package. Your pup will receive valuable training and socialisation in our daycare setting. This package is priced at £75 for 3 sessions
