We are a family of animal lovers now covering 3 generations, who have been operating for 36 years and are fully committed to ensuring that your pet is safe, cared for and loved whilst you are away on Holiday or Business. We offer an affordable Pet care service to our customers far & wide, catering for cats and dogs of all breeds & sizes (no exclusions) and many other small animals.

Providing temporary care for pets is our passion and we have created a pleasant, spacious and comfortable environment in which to house your pets during their time with us. A home from home, our heated cat pens and kennels include individual exercise runs which enable your pet to stretch their legs or bask in the warmth. Your pet will also benefit from one to one care and exercise sessions which will keep them active, happy and healthy.

Cattery

Every cat lover knows that their loved ones are territorial and like to hide away when their surroundings change. All our cat pens are housed individually with raised enclosed sleeping areas and have an exercise area below, they are fully tiled and well ventilated. Each building is heated and every cat has an electric heated pad during the winter months to cosy up to. Each pen is large enough to house 2 cats comfortably we recommend that if you have more than 2 an additional pen should be booked.

Exciting News

New legislation effective from October 2018 has been passed which every cattery has to adhere to when erecting new buildings.

We are pleased to announce that renovations are about to commence in autumn /winter 2018. A brand new upvc luxury cat accommodation complete with individual heating system for each pen will be available, 4 of which will accommodate up to 4 cats with a walk-in sleeping area of  1.5 x 1.2 meters and a play area of 2 x 1.5 meters  a further 10 will replace an existing building we currently have. Each pen will have sleep area 1.2 x 1.2 meters and a play area of 2 x 1.2 meters.

Kennels

Here at Hollybank, we appreciate that every dog is an individual and requires individual needs. With this in mind we offer 3 types of kennels each of different size and exercise needs that are suited to your loved one.

Our Large kennels have internal sleeping areas of approx. 2.4 x 1.6 meters and external runs of 3.45 x 1.6 meters they are fully tiled and double glazed, ventilated and are fully heated throughout the winter months.

Our small kennels are separated into two individual blocks, housing 3 kennels in each, this is to ensure that we can provide a quieter and more calming atmosphere for the smaller and older dogs that may feel a little anxious around the larger dogs. Again these kennels are fully tiled double glazed and also benefit from underfloor heating, in addition to the main wall heaters that all kennels have. They are internally 2.0 x 1.5 meters and externally 2.55 x 1.5 meters.

All the stated sizes are well in excess of the new regulations came into force in October 2018.

Small Animals

We have taken the decision over lock down to no longer offer this service due to New animal Welfare legislation requiring larger size pens and heated accommodation, it is also no longer viable for us to continue at our current prices due to the lack of demand and the increasing costs of food and bedding.
