Welcome to Bewdley Boarding Kennels Limited

We are a select boarding kennels and cattery business providing the highest standards in accommodation and care. We are licensed by Wyre Forest district council and exceed their licensing conditions, having been awarded four stars after our last inspection.

BBK is a family run business with family members living on site. Kim is the Office Manager and Helen is the Kennel Manager. We are always happy to hear from our customers to answer your questions and to help in any way we can.

We are situated one and a half miles from Bewdley town centre, amongst open fields and woodlands on the Worcestershire Way.

All of our kennels and cat pens are within double glazed, fully insulated, purpose – designed modern building. The blocks are all heated and air conditioned ensuring maximum comfort for your pets whatever the weather….. There are no cold outside runs here!

All our blocks have smoke alarms, and are fully alarmed for your, and our, peace of mind.

We have kennels to suit the smallest to the largest breeds and family sized ones too. Not all of our dogs are under one roof; we have four separate dog blocks each with a maximum of 11 kennels per block which makes us a very quiet establishment. We have two cat blocks too, which are sited away from the dogs.

We feel as much time out of the kennels as possible is essential for a happy stay; all of our dogs have guaranteed individual exercise times 3 to 4 times a day in our secure grassed paddocks, their time out totals around one hour even in our busiest times and a good deal longer when we are quieter. Our paddocks are enclosed within our kennel and reception buildings.

All our cat pens are very spacious and have ample room for both individual cats and families. Our cat blocks are well lit with natural light from a line of windows along one wall. Our cat visitors are all given individual “cuddle times”.

We also cater for special dietary and medication requirements; we will administer any prescription or non-prescription medication your pet needs.

Home comforts such as own food, bedding, toys, scratch posts and treats are welcome; our aim is to provide the best possible care and service which will give you peace of mind while you are away.

We can only accept boarders that are fully inoculated, with an additional inoculation against kennel cough for dogs. Kennel cough needs to be administered at least 3 full weeks prior to boarding. We must also ask for information about you pet’s worming and flea treatments. In addition, we can only accept dogs that have been microchipped.

We welcome our customers to come along and visit, to see our facilities at any time during our opening hours. You will be able to see the level of care we provide at any given time. Please contact us by phone, email or Facebook to arrange a time to visit.

GDPR Data Protection and the privacy of our customers is important to us. We keep all your details secure and only ask you for the information that we need to effectively take care of your beloved pets to the very best of our ability, and to comply with government legislation.

PRICES

The prices listed below are per pet, per day; we’re not like a hotel where you have to check in after 2pm and check out by 10am. Your pets’ accommodation is ready for use from 9am on the day of arrival until 6pm on the day of departure
(10am – 4pm on Sundays). It is up to you as to what time you arrive, during our opening hours, which is why we charge per day.

Our prices include accommodation, heating & air conditioning when needed, exercise times, food, insurance, bedding, preparation of special diets if supplied, administration of medication, card machine fees, the washing and drying of customers own bedding if provided, cat litter, and the dreaded VAT !

The new financial year, from the beginning in April, will see an the increase in our expenses (the rise in wages and pensions, the cost of utilities and the prices of pet food and our other supplies). Due to this, we will have to increase our boarding fees. We wish, of course, that this was not a necessity but unfortunately, in order to continue operating and providing our high standard of service, it is.

The new prices will apply to bookings after the 1st May 2023. 

They will be:

• £10.50 per day for Cats
• £19.00 per day for Small Dogs e.g. Westies and Jack Russells
• £19.50 per day for Medium Dogs e.g. Staffies and Springer Spaniels
• £20.00 per day for Large Dogs e.g. Labradors
• £20.50 per day for Extra Large Dogs e.g. St Bernard’s

The current prices will apply until 1st May 2023.

DISCOUNTS ARE AVAILABLE!

A 10% discount is given for two pets from the same household sharing the
same kennel or cat run. A 15% discount for three, and a 20% discount for four.
An additional 10% discount will be applied for stays of one month or more.
A further 5% discount is applicable should you provide your pets food.

For dogs we can supply Bakers, Pedigree and Chudleys
Complete as dry foods.
Butchers Tripe, Pedigree Chum, Winalot, Chappie as canned wet
food along with good quality small and large bite mixers.

For cats we can supply Felix or Whiskas in pouches and Butchers Cat in tins, along with a good quality complete dry biscuit. We stock tuna and chicken too, and fish paste, for when they are needed.

EXTRAS

Pick up and Delivery

A pick up and delivery service is available for pets within a 10 mile radius of Bewdley only.
For this we charge £10.00 one way or £20.00 return.

Presidential Suites

For dogs, we have a special treat, we have three kennels that have their own private outside run. The dogs have access to this all day in addition to their inside run and their exercise periods in our grassed paddocks. We call these kennels our “Presidential Suites” or “Prezzies” for short.
These kennels are particularly suited to the “pampered pooch” and dogs that are used to having a lot of time outdoors, first – time boarders also relish having the extra space whilst settling into the kennelling routine.
For this extra special extra we charge £6.50 per kennel per day.

Heat Lamps

Our kennels and catteries are heated to a standard that exceeds the licensing conditions, but for kittens, puppies, elderly, infirm or recuperating cats and dogs we can supply a heat lamp above their bed which will be on for 24 hours a day.
For this extra we charge £1.50 per day.

Water Fountains

All dogs and cats that stay with us are provided with fresh water at all times. However, if you wish to bring your pet’s plug in water fountain, you are welcome to. For this we charge £1.50 per day.

Grooming

We offer a bath or nail clipping service for dogs while they are boarding with us at an additional cost. Your dog will be looking great for your return.

Premium Days

Christmas day, Boxing Day and New Years Day are all premium days where our boarding fees are doubled.
