Our mission here at Ledbury Lodge Kennels is to focus on the care and well-being of the dogs that join us at our property.
Over the last couple of years our client base has expanded hugely covering the whole of the UK and parts of Europe. With 3.5 million dogs sold during the pandemic 2020/21, the demand for our 5 star fully licensed services has been incredible. Many pups born / bought during lockdowns and dogs who have become accustomed to having their human companions at home 24/7 has led our clients to ask for that extra service in terms of training / extra 1-1 attention / help with nervous dogs / over excited dogs / barking dogs / dogs with limited social exposure etc.
The safety and security of dogs here at Ledbury Lodge Kennels is of the upmost importance to all our customers.  For this reason we heavily invest in a fully updated and maintained electronic security system to ensure client confidence in our business.
We recently employed the services of a well respected company (BWS Security Systems) who specialise in securing external compounds such as kennels and other similarly structured buildings.
The result is that we now have a warning system that advises of intruder action prior to persons entering the kennels. In addition should intruders be unwise enough to enter the premises then a highly secure internal system will also cause an alarm response.
Ledbury Lodge Kennels insurance provides cover for your dog(s) in the unlikely event of any incident occurring whilst in our care . . . and, of course, this is included within the booking fees.
This gives our clients and their pets full peace of mind that most problems will be dealt with without imposing any unwanted financial burden on your return home.
Our aim has always been the same . . . to run a high-end kennel where we would be happy to leave our dogs.
We firmly believe that our dog psychology approach helps to keep our guests calm and quiet in an environment that would not stress them.
All dogs receive one-to-one personal and individual care and attention during their stay with us in our quiet calm kennels and exercise areas.
Ben is a self taught dog/human psychologist and has studied dog behaviour for over 30 years. Ben has adapted his training methods on his experiences throughout his time of breeding and running on litter siblings and studying how they react to each other and their mother. This has been an incredible insight for Ben’s training and something that makes his methods very unique. Ben teaches clients firstly to understand their dog, then teaches his client how to manage and develop their relationship with their dogs.
Using his psychology approach Ben teaches clients from across the UK and worldwide.
Ben is a Kennel Club ‘A Panel’ Judge and has previously won ‘Trainer of the Year’ as well as becoming the double British Cocker Championship winner (first time this has been achieved in over 40 years).
Whilst Ben’s one-to-one classes are the most popular offering, he also provides both small and large group classes that can be taught on site or at clients own location.
Before your dog can be accepted into the kennels we will need to see proof of the following:
