Established in 1989 just outside the picturesque village of Colston Bassett, Nottinghamshire. The farm and kennels have unrivalled views across the Vale to Belvoir Castle and this peaceful location also provides an ideal setting for our cattery.
There are various sized kennels for small, medium and large dogs each with indoor heated sleeping areas and individual runs. Half the kennels have covered outside runs and half are completely inside.
The separate cattery building consists of spacious individual pens. There is plenty of fresh air, natural light and protection from inclement weather.
We are dedicated to providing an excellent standard of service, cleanliness and welfare for the cats and dogs entrusted to us.
The Kennels.
There are 70 top class kennels of which 40 are overlooking the beautiful Vale of Belvoir. All the kennels are light and spacious with separate heated sleeping areas and dogs can see one another from their individual runs. Beds and freshly laundered bedding are provided.
Dogs are walked twice a day in one of the enclosed exercising fields. They can run free ‘off the lead’ either in small sociable groups or individually.
Meals are prepared in accordance with the owners requirements and there are strict procedures in place for the administering of medication and vitamin supplements. Â
We will not accept dogs that do not have up to date vaccinations including the Kennel Cough vaccine.
Kennels are cleaned out daily and are thoroughly scrubbed out and disinfected after each occupant leaves.
Feeding bowls are washed and sterilised after each meal and fresh water is provided at all times.
We also offer a grooming and collection and delivery service.
The Cattery.
There are 30 spacious individual cat pens within this secure, purpose-built building, offering natural light and fresh air. Light background music is played during the daytime.
Each pen has a private sleeping area which has an under bed heating pad and freshly laundered bedding provided. There are scratching posts available in their runs and all the cats can see one another. Every morning, whilst their pen is being cleaned out, each cat can wander free in the secure area directly outside their pen.
Meals are prepared in accordance to the owners requirements and strict procedures are in place for administering medication. We will not accept cats that do not have up to date vaccinations.

The staff at Belvoir Boarding Kennels are trained to provide quality care for all the cats and dogs in our charge and our supervisor is a qualified veterinary nurse. We are fully insured for veterinary cover for the length of the stay (conditions of the insurance cover are available at reception).
There is a ‘collection and delivery’ service available. There is a small mileage charge for this service.
We offer a full ‘dog grooming service’ which is also available to dogs that are not boarding with us.
As an additional service we launder and reproof ‘horse rugs’ of all types and sizes.
