Our spacious, heated kennels are hygienic, comfortable and cosy to cater for all the different breeds and characters of your dogs.
Special needs such as dietary requirements, medication and extra care can all be catered for.
Background music playing throughout the day in the kennel area creates a homely and relaxing atmosphere for your dog.
Beds and blankets are provided or you can bring your pets own comforters (no responsibility can be accepted for personal belongs).
Please note that to protect our dogs we are unable to accept them without having seen their current vaccination certificate, including INTRAC vaccine for kennel cough.
Dogs are exercised throughout the day with fun and play time being crucial. Our kennel gardens are secure for safe exercise.
Cattery
Our superb purpose built cat accommodation consists of high quality reinforced high density polyethylene. Which offers a superior finish to ensure the highest level of hygiene, and heat efficiency, offering cool conditions in the summer and warm conditions in the winter. Each cat pen has an individual thermostatically controlled heater which allows the temperature to be adjusted to cater for guests that need extra warmth or kept cooler for the more ‘outdoorsy’ guests.
The cattery provides a safe, clean, comfortable, homely and caring environment for all types of feline guests.
Each cat has its own individual outside exercise and relaxing space plus and internal sleeping and resting area. They have access to shelves, ladders and hiding places to ensure they have an environment that pleases their character.
We have family units that can house 2 or more friends, with ample room to live together contentedly.

MEET THE GROOMERS:
Steve Robson
I am a local man, born and bred in Scotter, where I now live with my own family.
I have always loved animals and had many pets over the years. I used to provide reptiles and invertebrates for TV and film productions and had a reptile room at home housing multiple weird and wonderful species. My wife now limits my collection somewhat and currently residing with us at home are snakes, lizards, chickens, ferrets, guinea pigs, fish, hedgehogs, cats and of course a dog.
It was our beautiful standard poodle, Otto who started my career in grooming. I qualified with the City and Guilds level 3 Dog Grooming and then the City and Guilds Diploma for Professional Dog Stylists at Grimsby institute. I spent 4 years at college achieving these professional qualifications. Dog grooming is a brilliant career choice for me as it fulfils my perfectionist streak and I thoroughly enjoy working with dogsof all sizes and breeds. I am experienced in all aspects of dog grooming, from simple pet trims to technically styled show trims and hand stripping.
I have previously worked at a busy dog grooming salon and for a dog rescue charity where I worked with lots of dogs who were anxious about different aspects of grooming. It gives me great satisfaction helping dogs to relax and remain calmthroughout their time at the salon, and also to work with the owner to groom their dog to their own requirements.
Having used Corner Cottage for boarding for many years, and knowing how passionate Trudy and Andy are about their business, I was very excited when the opportunity to join their team arose.
I am looking forward to welcoming new and existing grooming clients to Corner Cottage. I can’t wait to meet you and your four legged friends.
