Pets to Vets

It can be stressful trying to take your pet to the vets, particularly if you’re having to juggle the trip into your busy work schedule. Don’t worry, we’ll take care of it for you! We’ll collect the pet from your home and convey them in comfort to the vets. We’ll wait outside until they’ve been seen and then we’ll bring them safely back to you. You can stop worrying and let us deal with all the transport arrangements for you.

Pet Taxi

We’re happy to offer a bespoke pet taxi service whenever you need us. Perhaps your pet needs taking over to a friend’s house to be looked after whilst you’re out. Maybe you’re moving home and just haven’t got the space in your car to carry them. It could be that you’re going on holiday for a few weeks and need your pet taken to the kennels or cattery. No matter how short or long the journey, we are happy to offer a safe and comfortable taxi service for your beloved pet whenever we’re needed.

Pet Airport/Ferry Collection

We are happy to collect your pet from any Uk or European airport or ferry terminal. We’ll track the incoming flight or ferry so that we can be there right when we’re needed. Our friendly team will take excellent care of your furry friend and ensure they’re well fed and watered, treating them like the VIP they are until we have brought them safely back to you.

Pet Tracking Service

We now offer a tracking system so you can track your pet’s journey with us! Available from the minute we pick them up until the moment they arrive at their new home, you can see exactly how many hours and minutes it is until your new VIP (Very Important Pet) reaches their destination.

NOTE: Payment required on booking. We require a 25% non-refundable deposit at the point of booking, with the balance due 24hrs before collection.

Care Assurance

Our focus is on excellent customer care for you and your pet. All animals will be given our VIP (very important pet) care. They will be fed and watered at regular intervals and, if required, taken for a short walk.

Our co-founder and driver has thirty years of driving experience in the European road transport industry and is DEFRA licensed for animal transport. All our staff are pet first aid trained.

Based in Lochgelly Fife, DL Pet Transport is a small family-run business offering collection, relocation and animal rescue services across the Uk Ireland and Europe. The company’s team of dedicated animal lovers ensures any pet, be it cat, dog, rabbit, bird or guinea pig, reaches its required destination safely. All business vehicles are DEFRA (Type 2) licenced and are fully equipped with ventilation, air conditioning and bespoke fitted kennels, perfect for long distances. Tracking systems are additionally available, allowing clients to see exactly how many hours and minutes until their beloved pet reaches its destination.

The team is evidently passionate about the welfare and rights of pets in their care and is incredibly attentive, ensuring animals travel comfortably and stress-free. Regular stops are taken throughout all journeys during which pets undergo a wellness check, are watered and fed, and taken on a short walk if required. Open communication between drivers and clients further helps put customer’s minds at ease, and queries, questions and update requests are always welcome. Perfect for those who work full-time or have busy schedules, DL Pet Transport provides a tailored service suited to the needs of both customers and their furry friends.

Animal Rescue

We offer a 24hr pet rescue service for animals that urgently need re-homing.

We’ll collect them from where they currently are and offer them the very best care and attention as we transport them in our specially designed vehicles to their new home. Their welfare is our chief concern and our dedicated team won’t rest until the pet has been safely delivered to a welcoming environment.

It doesn’t matter how long or short the journey will be, or what sort of attention the animal will require, we will tailor our services to cater to the pet’s specific needs and requirements. DL Pet Transport Services provide a fully bespoke and customisable rescue service that puts the animal’s comfort right at the forefront.
