”I can help you train the perfect pet dog or puppy”
Professional award winning fun Dog training in Chelmsford and Basildon, Essex. I am a dog behaviourist offering dog training using kind and modern techniques.
The Essex Dog Trainer is based in Chelmsford and Brentwood covering the whole of Essex. I am an experienced dog trainer offering bespoke training.
I specialise in training where other dog trainers have failed, with dogs displaying aggression and unruly behaviour.
My main aim is to guide and help you understand the behaviour your dog is demonstrating to achieve the goal you seek. Giving you specialist and expert training to develop your dog into the perfect pet.
An obedient dog is one that can listen to basic commands such as sit, down, stay and most importantly come back when recalled. The Essex Dog Trainer can help you imprint these behaviour’s in a fun and constructive way. Puppies and adult dogs love to learn with a clear understanding of the task set in front of them.
I`m available for all your one to one dog and puppy training needs.
Essex’s leading dog trainer can arrange to visit you at your home, your local park, private training field or anywhere you are experiencing problems with your puppy or dog.
I recommend visiting you in these environments to understand the behaviour your dog is displaying and come up with a plan to progress. This allows me to discuss with you a way of tackling the problem head on.
I can also offer advice and guidance for puppy training. Giving you and your new companion the best start together.
During our consultation I will explain to you in a clear and precise way the best way to get the results you seek. This will involve:
Our 1-2-1 consultation will last two hours. This includes a free call back service where we can discuss your progress. You can liaise with me via videos sent to me on WhatsApp or even upload them to Youtube where I can offer guidance and feedback.

Why choose residential training
Obedience from day one of a puppy’s life will help them understand what behaviour is expected of them.
Dog owners are often unclear of the importance of imprinting fun and structured obedience.
An obedient dog is one that can listen to basic commands such as sit, down, stay and most importantly come back when recalled. At Essex dog trainer’s we can help you imprint these behaviour’s in a fun and constructive way. Dogs love to learn with a clear understanding of the task set in front of them.
A dog that has no basic obedience or control will learn to do things for himself without clear instruction.
What would you do if your dog was off lead and saw another dog across the road and decides to run to play with them? Do you have enough control to recall your dog under these circumstances? Can you give your dog the command to “down” as he runs off?
This scenario may not end the way you pictured it to be.
A strong recall or even an emergency down could prevent your dog being hit by a car, running towards an aggressive dog or a even a dog thief.
With our guidance at Essex Dog Trainer’s we can help you raise your puppy or dog to understand commands and respond to them.
You are probably thinking I can achieve this all at my local dog training club, but can you? Dogs become familiar with their surroundings and often enough attending dog training classes can not replicate the real life situations faced in every day life. As your dog learns to bark at others in this uncontrolled environment can your trainer help you or are you just embedding a new problem? Not every dog can be trained the same as the person standing next to you. Training methods have to be adapted to suit your dog.
With our training methods we teach you and your dog to be successful in everyday situations with guidance and most importantly fun.
Our intensive training programs are tailored for you and your dog
Once we have established what you as a client expects to achieve. We will be able to advise you what can be achieved during the stay and can work on the challenges you set out.
Different dogs progress at different speeds this is why we will discuss any ongoing issues you are experiencing and come up with a training program suited around you and your dog to Achievie the perfect companion for you and your family.
We will come to your home and collect and return your dog as part of the service.
We will keep you updated weekly by sending you videos to show the progress of your dog throughout each week of training.
Residential training is a minimum stay of three weeks, with one week fee payable upon booking and the balance upon commencement of the stay.
You can meet us for a chat prior to booking residential training so that you can be confident in leaving your pet with us. This will allow us to assess the suitability of your dog for this type of training.
An inclusive hand over lesson will be carried out when the stay is complete to show you what has been achieved and to teach you how to keep on top of what your dog has learned.
To advance the training even further you can book further top up lessons or future residential stays at a later date, perhaps when you next go on holiday rather than your pet being stuck in boarding kennels.
Prices starting from £100 per day.
