In addition to a lifelong love of dogs I have enjoyed years of experience working in various industries and have been involved with the care of rescued dogs. Our team holds relevant City and Guilds qualifications in dog grooming and they keep up to date with the latest developments in the field by attending related seminars and exhibitions by world class dog groomers.

Formerly a bridal boutique manager, Poochies is the realisation of my lifelong ambition to work with dogs full time in a caring environment. It is particularly important to me to ensure that all dogs receive the kindness and care that their owners would want for them in their own home. Dogs will always be treated well and if it comes to a choice between taking extra time or rushing the dog; then here at Poochies we will always take all the time necessary to ensure the comfort and well-being of your dog.
I have had the privilege of sharing my life with many dogs over the years and am currently the proud owner of a gorgeous boy, Marco, a rescue dog who enjoys coming to the studio with me most days and meeting all his new friends.
Here at Poochies dog grooming we do not operate a conveyor belt type system, instead we provide a one to one grooming service which helps build up trust between your dog and their dedicated groomer. As a family owned business Poochies believe in quality over quantity and therefore we allow a two hour slot for a full groom so that the experience is as relaxing and stress free as possible.
Our well presented reception area is the first thing you will see when you enter our dog grooming salon in Bournemouth. Our friendly staff will be on hand to discuss our dog grooming services with you and book in your dog for their groom or wash. For our furry friends we have a complimentary bowl of water and also doggy treats for them to enjoy.
Most customers who have booked their dog in with Poochies for a full groom prefer to leave the salon and come back to collect their dog once they are ready. For quicker walk in services such as nail clipping, ear cleaning or eye clearing then customers can wait in our comfortable seating area while our staff attend to their dogs needs.
Our salon is kitted out with the latest modern and safe grooming equipment. The premises is fitted with full air conditioning to ensure the comfort of both dogs and staff. As part of our daily routine we ensure that the salon is kept clean, tidy and safe with equipment being regularly serviced.
Our dog grooming salon in Bournemouth has a custom designed bathing area. The split level design with removable steps is particularly helpful for our less sprightly friends. We have air conditioning installed throughout the studio to ensure your dog’s comfort whatever the weather.
They may cost a little more but but we pride ourselves in only using the best quality natural shampoos and conditioners on your dogs coat. If you are thinking of using our dog grooming services and would like would like to visit and have a detailed look at our salon then you are very welcome too.

Luxurious dog wash in our dog friendly bath / shower using only the best quality natural dog shampoo and conditioner specially selected based on their coat and skin. Our dog wash service is followed up with a gentle blow dry and brush and Spritz of canine cologne for that final flourish. Please note this service does not include any hair clipping or scissor cutting.

Walk in dog ear cleaning service which includes a gentle clean of the ears with high quality dog friendly ear cleaning solution to remove wax, debris as well as sooth and calm the skin. We are not able to offer this service if your dog has any signs of an ear infection or the possibility of a ruptured ear drum.
