Homeboarding, Day Care & Wedding Chaperone

Hi i’m Kerri and I am a home boarder providing daycare and overnight stays in the comfort and familiar settings of a family home.

I have worked with dogs for the past 8 years, providing foster care for dog charities in the UK and abroad as well as running my own boarding business.

Our home is resident to a labradoodle and a whippet, both welcome any dog with slobbery kisses. We also house 3 teenagers, though they rarely get seen.

Over the years we have won a number of awards – DogFriendly Awards UK finalist 2018, ThreeBestRated in Nottingham 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Town & County business championships finalist 2021.

Daycare

Whether you have a full day at work and don’t want to leave your pooch home alone, or a social event which means you will be out the house longer than you’d like – doggy day care is the answer! Daycare can be great socialisation for dogs. A safe environment to build friendships and confidence, and for the pups it can be a great tool in learning to play, behaviour and doggy language. Throughout the day we play, walk, snooze and play! Things such as scent games, agility, tug, ball pit, paddling pool, tunnels, woodland walks, lake walks, basic training such as sit, stay, paw and much more.

Daycare operates Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm.

Boarding

Going on holiday and hate the thought of leaving your dog? You are not alone! Poochies is a home from home.

Dogs who board will have the chance to socialise Monday to Friday with our daycare packs, enjoy 2 walks a day, and if their stay falls over our adventure walk weekends they will get to explore the Peak District or the beach with us too.

All boarding dogs get full roam of the house and sleep where ever they desire, though you must warn them that I snore!

We have beds in every room as well as water bowls upstairs so if they want some space they are welcome to take themselves out of daycare for a quiet snooze.

Pick up and drop service is available for no extra charge to boarding clients.

Weddings

Make your wedding day extra special with a visit from your fur baby!

Our wedding packages are flexible and include but are not limited to – 1 nights boarding, a bath and spruce in preparation for your photos, 1 hour at the venue and transport. For an extra bit of sparkle we can include a beautiful white biothane collar and lead set with gold fastenings.

Wedding chaperone and wedding packages are available weekends only.
