Since we opened up Paws, many of our clients have joined us from an early age, as young as 12-14 weeks old, and now, nearly 3 or 4 or more years on, they have stayed with us for their doggy day care and boarding needs. This, for us, is wonderful and we are very grateful to our clients and their owners for trusting us and remaining loyal to Paws for such a long time.
However, it does mean that spaces at Paws For Thought do not come up very often, and when they do, they are in high demand! Therefore, we do hold a waiting list for puppies, dogs and elderly dogs if required, and monitor this waiting list on a regular basis, to ensure we can help as many dogs as possible and as soon as possible.
It may be because you need a certain day of the week or just a morning, not a full day and sometimes we may have a space, but not the right space for your dogs needs.
So, you can email Paws initially and if we cannot provide what you are looking for straight away, you can request to be added to our waiting list with a special request for your puppy/dog. Then, as soon as we can assist you, we will naturally be in touch…
We also like to group puppies and dogs together, based on their personality and specific enjoyment traits when here. Some dogs are soppy and affectionate and just want to be loved, praised and kept company, others are very playful and have a lot of energy and need to be around similar minded dogs, that also want to interact and play. There would be no point putting a hyperactive Boxer with 4 quiet tempered dogs, that want to chill out and mooch about the garden etc and then the Boxer is running around trying to entice the others to play, when they just don’t want to. That Boxer would have a miserable experience and we do not want that.
So, we wouldn’t contact you and offer you a space that wouldn’t work for your dog/puppy just to fill the space, we would look for the right fit for that space, based on need and personality. This means we ensure the dog/puppy has the best experience whilst here and we feel better knowing they are living their best life enjoying Paws for what it is!
