Dog Training
Welcome to ‘Eleanor Rose Dog Training’. My name is Ellie, I am a qualified dog trainer based in the South-West of England, covering Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire. The other member of my team is Laylah, a Staffordshire-Bull-Terrier cross Labrador.
I have always had a passion for working with dogs. After working with them in kennels and day care settings, I completed a degree in (BSc Hons) Animal Behaviour and Welfare. I have since undergone training with Puppy School Ltd and I regularly attend seminars, conferences, and training courses to stay current and up-to-date with training practices.
I use methods centred around reward and choice, keeping it fun and productive for you and your dog. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family member(s).
Training Walks

Not just dog walking! These handy training walk packages are designed to boost your dog along by practising what we are working on; loose-lead walking, dog neutralilty, recalls, or general confidence.
We can put together a package that siuts your dog, to give you that little extra boost in the right direction around your busy schedules.

Long lines are very useful for recall training, dogs who can’t be off the lead, and other training activities. They are for sale in a variety of lengths and colours.

Lengths of 5m, 7.5m or 10m.
There’s a wide range tantalising dog toys, from plaited tug toys to sheep wool chasers. The wide range of toys are perfect for fun games with your dog, and aiding in recall training. These high quality toys are handmade by The Dog House and Tug-e-Nuff. They’ll love them!

I have always had a life-long passion for dogs, and I have worked at kennel and day-care centres in the past.
I knew I wanted to further this career, so I completed a degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare. Later on from this I became a Puppy School tutor.
Shortly after I finished university I got Laylah, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier x Labrador, who is a keen learner and great fun to work with.
In my spare time I enjoy attending webinars/seminars and workshops to further my knowledge in the field, and exploring new places with Laylah.

Class information
Classes are held at Winterbourne Whitechurch Village Hall, Dolway Lane, Winterbourne Whitechurch, Blandford, Dorset DT11 0AW on Wednesdays 5.30pm – 6.30pm and Saturdays 9.30-10.30 am and 10.45 – 11.45am. Please contact me for more information and to book a class.
