Welcome

We are very pleased to have fenced two grass fields solely for dog walking, located on the outskirts of West Haddon. The fields have 6′ high secure fencing with a fine mesh so small dogs can’t squeeze through or underneath, and high enough so large dogs can’t jump over. Only one booking is possible per time slot, so you have the use of your chosen field entirely to yourselves.

We decided to do this having visited another similar project in Yorkshire and we realised there is a demand for secure, safe areas for walking in West Haddon, where dogs can be let off their leads and avoid risks from other antisocial dogs. We hope it will benefit many people and dogs in West Haddon and nearby in Northamptonshire. The fields are accessible from Northampton Road using nearest postcode NN6 7DG, scroll down to see the map.

Field 1

Field 1 is a large two acre field, suitable for a walk or for recall training. If the weather is typically British you can stay in the shelter of your car with the confidence that your dog(s) can roam freely and safely. Images can be found below. Field one can be found to your left as you drive through the double gates from the road.

Field 2

Field 2 is approximately 1 acre with some enrichment and activities for your dog(s) to enjoy. Enter through the double gates from the road, turn right, follow the track and you’ll find Field 2. N.B. from time-to-time there may be livestock and/ or horses grazing next to Field 2.

Using The Fields

The fields have gates to keep entry safe, and hard standing so that you can drive into the field and shut the gate before letting your dog(s) out. We do ask that you take your rubbish home with you.

Dog poop MUST BE collected by you and put in a bag and then put in the bin provided.

It is ESSENTIAL that you don’t stand at the gate waiting for the previous booking to finish and leave the field, unless their time has expired. Some dogs using this field are likely to have issues with other dogs. Please stay outside the field gate until your booking time. We will have to ban people who do not abide by this rule.

Anybody failing to stick to the rules will be barred in the future. To help police this we ask members to report any rubbish or uncollected doggie do. There is a list of more detailed rules and regulations which you agree to bide by when you book.

Booking & Pricing

• 1-3 dogs – £3.50 per 30 minute slot
• 4-8 dogs – £6.00 per 30 minute slot

• 1-3 dogs – £6.00 per 60 minute slot
• 4-8 dogs – £10.00 per 60 minute slot
• 9-12 dogs – £13.00 per 60 minute slot

You can book up to a year in advance so feel free to book the same slot every week. It is possible to book several slots in one go by selecting ‘re-occurring’ then going to the bottom of the list then selecting ‘choose additional time’. You will get to check the selected slots before proceeding to pay.

Payment is by PayPal or card as you book. The booking form will direct you through this. Plus you can change the booking slot up to 2 hours before the slot if you change your plans – just click on the grey box at the bottom of your confirmation email which will guide you through this. No changes after 2 hours before the slot, sorry.
